Overview
Cardiac PET: Real World Applications and the Role of F-18 Labeled Tracers is a three-part webinar series, each 30 minutes, intended to increase learners’ competence in solving clinical questions in the targeted patient populations and understand the unique benefits of PET imaging with F-18 labeled tracers. The added value of MBF in making patient management decisions will also be discussed.
Target Audience
This three-part set of webinars is intended for all cardiologists, internal medicine physicians, hospitalists, radiologists, and technologists involved in implementing or referring for myocardial perfusion imaging studies.
The Webinar Series - Topics, Dates and Times
Cardiac PET: Real World Applications and the Role of F-18 Labeled Tracers - Focus on Women
Date: Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 6:00pm ET
Cardiac PET: Real World Applications and the Role of F-18 Labeled Tracers - Focus on Obese Patients
Date: Tuesday, December 19, 2023, 6:00pm ET
Cardiac PET: Real World Applications and the Role of F-18 Labeled Tracers - Focus on Patients with Diabetes
Date: Tuesday, January 23, 2024, 6:00pm ET
Learning Objectives
The primary objectives of these webinars are to enable learners to:
- Demonstrate understanding the added value of PET MPI and MBF over SPECT in obese patients, patients with diabetes, and women at risk for cardiovascular disease
- Describe the significance of F-18 labelled tracers and what they offer over SPECT imaging and other PET MPI tracers in the target populations
- Analyze recent clinical data with F-18 flurpiridaz and its potential impact on imaging women, obese patients, and women with suspected CAD
- Apply knowledge from clinical case studies demonstrating the enhanced image quality of F-18 flurpiridaz and diagnostic accuracy compared with SPECT imaging
Overall Goal
The purpose of this series of webinars is to increase learners competence in understanding the role of F-18 labeled tracers in solving clinical questions in women, in obese populations, and in patients with diabetes.
