It is designed for practitioners who are performing nuclear imaging studies and want to increase their competence for certification, recertification or general practice improvement.

Upon completion of this module, learner will be able to:  
  • Discuss pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of different radioactive tracers
  • Identify key components in the production, preparation of radioactive tracers, detection and management of impurities and contamination
  • Recognize benefits and limitations of individual radiopharmaceuticals
Overall Goal
The overall goal of this activity is to provide a comprehensive review of nuclear cardiology imaging procedures and best practices and increase physicians’ competence and performance in their ability to improve cardiovascular disease outcomes.
