The program is intended for nuclear cardiologists, multimodality imaging cardiologists, general cardiologists, hematologists, neurologists, and  primary care providers.

This series of webinars is designed to enhance the ability of community-based healthcare providers to diagnose, treat and manage patients with cardiac amyloidosis. Early diagnosis and treatment are important to improve patient outcomes.

At the conclusion of the three webinars, learners should be able to:
  • Describe signs and symptoms of ATTR-CM, diagnostic work-up of amyloidosis
  • Explain the importance of testing to rule out light chain amyloidosis
  • Identify high risk scenarios for suspected ATTR-CM
  • Prescribe disease-modifying therapy earlier to improve patient outcomes
  • Understand the current armamentarium of drug treatment
  • Learn how treatment can impact patients in your practice
  • Evaluate potential approaches to disease monitoring
  • Identify unanswered questions about treating ATTR-CM
  • Recognize polyneuropathy in diagnosing patients
  • Discuss the importance of genetic testing in effective patient management
  • Develop strategies for appropriate patient management and multidisciplinary needs within a center of excellence

Many community-based physicians and other healthcare professionals lack the ability to appropriately diagnose and treat amyloidosis and need guidance on establishing a center to adequately manage patients. These webinars will enhance the ability of community-based healthcare providers to diagnose, treat and manage patients with cardiac amyloidosis. Early diagnosis and treatment are important to improve patient outcomes.
