The ASNC2026 Meeting OnDemand (MOD) course provides you with top-notch education highlighting how nuclear cardiology is expanding rapidly across amyloidosis, artificial intelligence, hybrid imaging, infection, inflammation, molecular imaging, myocardial blood flow quantification, radiopharmaceuticals, sarcoid, and much more.

The sessions provided shared valuable insights on disease-based tracks, radiopharmaceutical innovations, and new diagnostic techniques that every nuclear cardiology professional needs to know. Earn up to 26 CME credits.

These sessions were recorded during the live / virtual ASNC2026 Annual Scientific Session and Exhibition, September 16-19, and September 26, 2026.

CME Expiration Date: October 1, 2028*
*CME Credits must be claimed by this date.

This online activity consists of OnDemand lectures recorded from the ASNC2026 sessions. In order to claim CME credits*, you must listen to the recordings and then complete the Evaluation. You can claim credit as you progress through the activity, e.g., watch 2 sessions, claim credit, complete the evaluation, and receive your CME Certificate. If you watch other presentations and claim credit after completing the evaluation, your CME Certificate will denote the additional credits. This course does not carry ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points.

*CME Expiration Date: October 1, 2028*

This course is intended for cardiologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, nuclear technologists, nurses, practice administrators, and other health care professionals with an interest in the field of nuclear cardiology.

At the end of this activity, participants will:

  • Demonstrate improved skills in image interpretation and reporting
  • Recognize and minimize technical problems and artifacts that may be associated with cardiac imaging
  • Identify appropriate use of cardiac imaging techniques based on current guidelines
  • Evaluate new imaging technologies, software, and stress techniques
  • Identify the role of nuclear and cardiac CT imaging in overall patient care
  • Describe the importance of balancing radiation exposure with image quality
  • Describe future directions in cardiac PET/CT and SPECT/CT to anticipate training and equipment needs
  • Identify the clinical implication of CT coronary angiography cases and recognize its value and limitations in clinical cardiology

This activity will increase learners’ competence in solving technical and clinical issues when treating patients with CVD. Sessions present different approaches to cardiac disease management to how to best improve patient outcomes. These sessions address topics in appropriate use criteria, SPECT best practices, PET best practices, new and emergent cardiac imaging procedures, lab performance and procedures, radiation safety, reporting, and lab performance and the application of appropriate guidelines-based treatments.

To maintain competence and improve performance, imaging professionals must assimilate and integrate knowledge spanning multiple areas, including clinical data, technical aspects of imaging, and appropriate application of imaging (e.g., clinical guidelines and appropriate use criteria). Each of these areas is constantly evolving, particularly as innovative technologies and novel pharmacologic agents are introduced. ASNC2026 is an educational activity designed to help imaging professionals on how to best improve outcomes for their patients with CVD.
