Cardiac PET is the future of nuclear cardiology and optimal management decisions for patients. This CME Symposium will discuss the clinical value of PET and the importance and approaches to incorporating it into everyday clinical practice and provide the Call to Action for nuclear cardiology to remain competitive in the future. This program will address the value of transitioning from SPECT to PET and address considerations for including F-18 labelled myocardial perfusion tracers in clinical practice. Measurement of myocardial blood flow adds significant clinical information obtained from a PET study and is essential for patient management decisions. Expectations from measurement of myocardial blood flow from F-18 labelled tracers will be discussed. The program will close with a discussion of the impact of F-18 MPI tracers on hybrid imaging and expansion of cardiac PET worldwide.

This activity is intended for cardiologists, nuclear cardiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, and nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine technologists practicing in the field of nuclear cardiology.
