Nuclear Cardiology Around the World: A PatientFirst Approach - Europe (03/24)
Overview

The webinar will feature four case presentations including infection, inflammation, amyloidosis and microvascular disease, and address the role of hybrid imaging to enhance diagnosis.

This interactive, case-based discussion will focus on daily practice and provide real-world examples of how nuclear cardiology contributes to clinical decision-making in Europe. Nuclear cardiologists, either from cardiology or nuclear medicine, and to the “users” of nuclear cardiology techniques, including cardiologists, internists, and general practitioners, should plan to attend. It will be a unique opportunity to discuss with experts and learn about the novelties in the field.

Target Audience
This educational activity will target physicians (general cardiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, cardiology fellows, referring physicians).
Learner Objectives
After participating in this activity, learners should be able to achieve the following:
• Recognize the application of nuclear cardiology in diagnosing cardiac infection and inflammation.
• Describe the integration of CT into SPECT/PET and the added value of attenuation correction, calcium scoring, and contrast CT angiography.
• Recognize the role of nuclear cardiology in early detection and accurate diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis
• Discuss the role of nuclear cardiology in diagnosing and managing microvascular disease.
Overall Goal
The overall goal of this activity is to improve knowledge and understanding of locally available diagnostic and treatment options in Europe, and to improve patient quality of life and outcomes globally by utilizing the best nuclear imaging technologies locally available.
