ASNC2024 Scientific Session and Exhibition of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology -Tech CE Claim
Evaluation, Credit Claims
The evaluation link will be available on Saturday, September 7.  Technologists will claim CE credits for the September 5-7 AND September 14 sessions here.

Access Codes will be provided at each session in the App’s “chat” feature, and you will need to enter this code into the evaluation system.  Each Access Code will be unique to that session. An evaluation must also be completed to claim credit. CE Certificates will include reference numbers, session titles and number of credits.

You can track your access codes on the “Technologist Access Code Sheet”. This form is available to download in the Documents section of the App as well as hard copies are available at the ASNC registration desk.

Overview
ASNC2024 will provide you with top-notch education, opportunities to engage with your colleagues, and create new collaborations. Meet pioneers and leaders in nuclear cardiology and multimodality imaging who can help you navigate the field and where it is headed.

ASNC2024 will be offered in a hybrid format so you can attend in person in Austin, TX or virtually from your home or office.
Target Audience

This activity is intended for cardiologists, nuclear cardiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, and nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine technologists practicing in the field of nuclear cardiology.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate improved skills in image interpretation and reporting
  • Recognize and minimize technical problems and artifacts that may be associated with cardiac imaging
  • Identify appropriate use of cardiac imaging techniques based on current guidelines
  • Evaluate new imaging technologies, software, and stress techniques
  • Identify the role of nuclear and cardiac CT imaging in overall patient care
  • Describe the importance of balancing radiation exposure with image quality
  • Describe future directions in cardiac PET, CT, and SPECT/CT to anticipate training and equipment needs
  • Identify the clinical implication of CT coronary angiography cases and recognize its value and limitations in clinical cardiology
Overall Goal

This activity will increase learners’ competence in solving technical and clinical issues when treating patients with CVD. Sessions present different approaches to cardiac disease management to how to best improve patient outcomes. These sessions address topics in appropriate use criteria, SPECT best practices, PET best practices, new and emergent cardiac imaging procedures, lab performance and procedures, radiation safety, reporting, and lab performance and the application of appropriate guidelines-based treatments.

Statement of Need

To maintain competence and improve performance, imaging professionals must assimilate and integrate knowledge spanning multiple areas, including clinical data, technical aspects of imaging, and appropriate application of imaging (e.g., clinical guidelines and appropriate use criteria). Each of these areas is constantly evolving, particularly as innovative technologies and novel pharmacologic agents are introduced. ASNC2024 is an educational activity designed to help imaging professionals on how to best improve outcomes for their patients with CVD.

Accreditation and Continuing Education Credit

Technologists: The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is a recognized provider of continuing education credit for technologists. ASNC’s Continuing Education Credit is accepted by both NMTCB and ARRT. ASNC2024 has been approved for a maximum of 45.0* ARRT Category A credits for Technologists.

*Credits subject to change.

ASNC has received the highest level of recognition, Accreditation with Commendation, from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Accreditation with Commendation is awarded to CME providers that demonstrate compliance in all aspects of accreditation requirements and for demonstrating exemplary engagement with the environment in support of physician learning and physician quality improvement.

Disclosure Policy

As an accredited provider of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. In compliance with these standards, it is ASNC’s policy to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific merit in all its educational activities through the disclosure of all financial relationship with ineligible companies and mitigation of conflicts of interest.
