Course Overview
This Journal CME activity will provide an understanding of the utility of nuclear cardiovascular imaging in the cardiac intensive care unit through a systematic review of the literature and meta-analysis.

This activity is targeted at imaging professionals and is intended to provide the latest information on clinical practice and cutting-edge scientific advances in nuclear cardiology and cardiac imaging.

After reading and reflecting upon this article in the Journal Nuclear Cardiology, the learner should be able to: 
  • Define the role of nuclear cardiovascular imaging in the management of patients in the cardiac intensive care unit.
  • Determine the advantages of nuclear imaging in the evaluation of critically ill cardiac patients.
  • Describe the impact of nuclear cardiovascular imaging on managing distinct clinical scenarios in the cardiac intensive care unit.  
Overall Goal
The purpose of this CME activity in the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology is to increase the learners’ competence in the application of nuclear cardiology strategies in clinical practice.
